INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

Abstract submission for SMIT 2011 is now closed.

ELECTRONIC POSTER PRESENTATIONS

There will be no 'paper/hard copy' poster presentations at SMIT 2011. The conference will feature electronic posters, which will be presented on several plasma screen terminals in the conference networking area, located next to the main hall. The organizers believe that this forum will make the poster presentations more visible to the conference participants. The posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference.

POSTER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Posters will be displayed on electronic poster boards on a 42’’ plasma screen with a remote controller.

Accepted posters should be submitted in power point format (ppt, pptx), or as a graphics file (png, tiff, svg, jpeg, pdf).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

• Poster will be made of ONE slide or image.
• Poster will have a 16:9 (widescreen) proportion, on a landscape orientation.
• Resolution should be at least 2280x1620 pixels.
• The full title of the poster and the names of the authors should be shown at the top of the slide.
• Choose a clear typeface. The suggested minimum font size is 20 ft.
• Legends in any graphs and embedded images must be legible.
• Photographs should be large enough to see relevant detail.
• Avoid crowding the poster with too much information

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING AS A POWER POINT SLIDE:

• Images should not be compressed.
• Graphs should be embedded as images.
• Effects (animations, etc.) are not allowed.

SENDING THE FILES

• Files should be sent through a big file sharing service (dropbox, yousendit) and SHOULD NOT be sent as attachments directly.
• A link to the download location should be sent to smit2011@targetconf.com. A confirmation will be sent when we are able to download the file.
• Files must be received by September 4, 2011. After this date new posters will not be accepted.
